Bet Ya Didn't Hear about this on NBC ....

The following took place at the Pennsylvania Rally. The family was watching the McCain/Palin bus pull into the stadium and the family (who have a little girl with Down Syndrome) held up a sign that said: We Love Kids with Down Syndrome. This caught the eye of Gov. Palin and she gave the family a "thumbs up" from the bus window.

After the bus stopped a Secret Service man came up to the family and asked them to follow him. Senator McCain, Cindy McCain, Gov. Palin, husband Todd Palin and family, all came off the bus and they expressed how they loved the sign. Gov. Palin asked if she could hold the little girl and Senator McCain invited the family's young son to look inside the bus. One of Gov. Palin's daughters brought Trig off the bus and the little girl went over and kissed him on the forehead.

The family could not get over how warm and cordial and caring all of the group was to spend this time with their family.

I love it! Yes, it would be lovely to see this covered on the national media.

awww makes you feel so good. They did not have to do that at all. What a warm welcome I am sure that was!

Great post! As a mother of a special needs baby with a syndrome, I would like to hear her talk more about children with special needs! Thanks for the story...we never hear about this kind of stuff...the stuff that matters.
