Borderline Barbie began her
interest in the art world
at a young age - as a young
girl she was involved in
drawing and various
areas of creativity.
While attending Purdue
she continued her
love of art getting
her BA in Art Ed and
Fine Arts. It was in her
senior year she dis-
covered her love for
metals and photography.
Staying at Purdue for
graduate studies in
Photography and Related
Media she created
a ton of work during grad school which culminated in an installation in which she constructed a house inside the gallery .... featuring video, handmade books and handmade lockets. During this time Barb began fabricating jewelry and learning how to produce jewelry pieces. She is currently an instructor at Purdue and has been fortunate to teach many metals courses and continues to be heavily involved in the jewelry club, PAJAMA (Purdue Art Jewelry and Metals Club).
